Story

Holyhead Town Council is pleased to announce that it has taken over the Empire Cinema and from next week (10 June 2013) the Empire building will be undergoing a major refurbishment and once works have been finalised the estimated date of completion has been earmarked to be open to the public as the 18 October 2013.

The Project will include a new modern Cinema showing the latest released films, a new projector, new Cinema seating on the first floor with full disabled access, and on the ground floor a soft play area for toddlers and for older children have a look at how the play centre will look https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3Bd2EZ616A and a Quasar Arena and café.

Great this old town cinema has been brought back to life in recent years like it was back in the 80's. If we keep using it it will be here for years to come.
Great value cinema. It's great the town has it. Only quibble is there was constant noise from a fan or heater of some kind that could be heard during quieter parts of the film so it was a bit distracting
Such a cute cinema! One screen as seen in other photos. Comfy seating. They appeared to have a play area for children and arcade games, too. Cheap food, drinks and ticket pricing! I'm quite gutted I don't live closer to make this my main cinema choice.
Great little cinema. Just the one screen, nothing fancy but very much does the job. I bought Tickets easily online and snacks can be bought on site. We watched 2 movies in one day and both times staff were nice, seats were clean and there was a good atmosphere. Not to mention the amazing prices, especially on Wednesdays when prices are reduced further.
THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE IN A CINEMA EVER.nSorry for caps but OMGnBest thing about it is the soft play downstairs! Staff on ticket booth are very friendly though! Absurd tiny amount of leg room obviously not their fault!
