Story

Holyhead Town Council is pleased to announce that it has taken over the Empire Cinema and from next week (10 June 2013) the Empire building will be undergoing a major refurbishment and once works have been finalised the estimated date of completion has been earmarked to be open to the public as the 18 October 2013.

The Project will include a new modern Cinema showing the latest released films, a new projector, new Cinema seating on the first floor with full disabled access, and on the ground floor a soft play area for toddlers and for older children have a look at how the play centre will look https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3Bd2EZ616A and a Quasar Arena and café.

Great little cinema. Very inexpensive & clean. Freindly staff. Great with the kids. If your over 6ft go for the seats at the back as they have bit more leg room 😉

Pleasantly surprised when I visited the refurbished Empire to see the third 50 SHADES film. Small box office counter selling snacks and Slush. Stairs up to the cinema screen though there is also a lift for less able. Enter the screen at the back and top and a walk downwards towards the seating. Comfortable seating in the cinema but not much legroom as my knees were against the back of the seat in front. Would visit again.

Lovely 'olde worlde' atmosphere with modern style seating. Excellent value. Our favourite cinema!

Fairly basic, parking can be an issue, but had a great family atmosphere. Way cheaper than the other cinemas nearby, and a nice little independent cinema, which is rare these days.
