I am so annoyed. Great service delivery. Mixed starters were tasty and really good. The main was hot and perfectly spiced. BUT THE CHICKEN MEAT. Yuck!!!! I don’t know where you are getting your meat from but it was horrid. Texture woody and seemingly undercooked. I was really disappointed because everything else was great. Chicken meat put me off soo much that it all had to go into the bin. Sorry guys. I can’t return if the meat is like this
Always excellent food and service, we have been dining here for 15 years. Eat in and take out, consistently excellent food. Generous sized portions, and very competitively priced. We always tip generously and have never been disappointed.
Good food which arrived very quickly. Fairly quiet when we visited so had the choice of tables, although slighty cramped. Reasonable value for money, just under £50 for food and drinks for 2. I needed a receipt for the meals but was told they couldn't provide one which seemed a bit odd.
Took 2 hours to get my food, chicken tasted cheap and food wasn't even hot. I do not recommend.
Delivery took much longer than promised, ordered at 1715 and the order finally turned up at 1850. I could have forgiven that but the tarka daal was tepid and very obviously reheated from a previous day. The tandoori chicken and lamb was also horrendously dry, I suspect also reheated from perhaps the lunch sitting. The lamb was possibly the driest I have ever had. Saag paneer was alright, as was the garlic naan, shame the latter was so small, almost as small as a side plate. In all poor quality, expensive for the portion size and late to deliver.
I ordered takeaway, the korma taste microwaved and the chicken was like rubber my popadoms were soggy and the garlic naan was stone cold stale and had no taste to it, it was so bland and didn’t taste right at all, 3hrs after eating my stomach is in agony and have made many trips to the toilet. I love eating from different places but this is a never again situation unfortunately!
Terrible service. I preordered my delivery 2.5 hours ahead. I call 40 minutes after it was due for delivery to be told they only found the order 20 minutes ago. They didn't think to call and let me know it was going to be significantly late or offer a refund I asked for a partial refund but the person on the phone pretended not to understand and just said thank you. Just that it was being cooked and be here in another 20 minutes an hour late
Need more people in the restaurant. Come back, it's great.Food: 5/5
Real shame, the food is quite good and we had eaten from here for years and enjoyed the meals, but placing an order at 18:20 and it taking 2 hours to be delivered is a joke. It's not the first time either, happening more and more frequently. When spending £40 on a takeaway it would be nice if it arrived the hour later the confirmation email said, especially when it's supposed to be for a nice evening in. Sadly we'll be ordering elsewhere in the future.
Really disappointed with our experience here. Server was polite but disinterested on us being there, feels like it would do better a just a take away not a resturant. Very dated. Weren't offerd drinks and didn't feel overly welcome. Food was OK,
