The worst biriyani and staff behaviour i experienced ever in my life... We ordered chicken tikka as starters and chicken biriyani as the main meal. They did serve a vegetable curry with the mains and it was obsolete. the pottato smelled like vomit. during the checkout i asked them for a receipt and they give me that piece of paper which i attached above. When i demanded a proper receipt they acted weird and i felt like they are threatening me for leaving the place. A really scary and ridiculous experience. And its not Indian food at all.
Mmmmmm. Not so good, I would say. Not at all indian, it is a bangladeshi restaurant. Very weird behaviour of staff which makes you leave the place immediately. I was surprised when they charged for chutney plate separately from poppadam. Food was also not very fresh but we were hungry and this was the only option. We ordered chef’s special chicken and daal as side, which was okay in taste.
The best Indian restaurant i ever been, the food, the atmosphere and the staff was more than great. Definitely will go again when we are on the lakes it was amazing 10 of 5
As an Indian, I do very well know how our food tastes. If you are eating here without knowing how Indian food tastes, this place is fine. However, if you know Indian food and what to expect, stay away from the restaurant. My family and I all got ill the next day and had upset stomachs. The food is very bland and nothing is fresh. I would recommend to stay far away from this place and go somewhere else.
We stumbled across this fantastic Indian restaurant last Friday night whilst staying in Windermere. Omg the food was fantastic. Lovely friendly staff . Very reasonably priced, great singha beer on draft to boot . Make sure you try it , a proper Indian . Although,,, the bad reviews all seem to be from Asian people. I'm no expert on Bangladeshi or Indian food , I just know it tasted great .
We did the carryout from this place so cannot make a comment on the service. However when you walk in into the restaurant, it does not give me a vibe of cleanliness. The food was bit blend and i have had way better Indian food before. I would say eat there only if you have to otherwise i would may be try other Indian restaurant in nearby town.
Great curry, friendly service and well good decor. We had pops and then went straight to main. I had Rajastani lamb and the missus has vegetable korma and we shared a sag aloo, rice and naan. A pint of cobra each. We were absolutely stuffed and left really happy. Vegetarian options: Had a taste of the missus’ veg korma and it was well nice to be fair. Saag aloo was great too.
What a diamond The last time we visited was before covid And we were so glad to visit again We had cobra on the draught excellent drink To start with we had popadoms and chutney and pickle tray Then we shared and had a chicken Bombay special and a murgh massala Excellent with special fried rice and garlic Nan All excellent we just felt so full or we would of had dessert as well Before covid we have visited the lakes for years and many times eaten at the prince of India and all times we have enjoyed the food so much . The staff are great and the restaurant is fab we love it and will always visit here So thank you all and see you soon It’s cash at the moment but straight across the road inside the co op there is a cash machine
A large group of us visited & thoroughly enjoyed the food. Unfortunately the place was completely full, giving the place a cramped / overcrowded feel to the venue. Can't fault the food however.Food: 5/5
The chef special was full of pickled and onions which worsted our night. Staff was Bengali and nice behaved but i wanted spend my dinner with my husband and not having this much noise of them. They had a conversation about all, it was like “hope to finish and go away “ Didn’t like their furniture and atmosphere. Very old fashion with fake flowers and I felt them with dust. I also thik that they was observing all we did.
