Emmett's gardens are very tranquil, peaceful and beautiful place to come for a short or long up to an hour walk. The formal gardens are nicely done and well kept with beautiful flowers. If you want to see their pump house, be prepared that the woodland walk part will be a bit steep with an uphill walk on the way back. So wear reasonable shoes. Lots of benches scattered around too! There is a shop, cafe and toilet facilities on site and the staff there are very helpful and friendly. This is a truly ideal place to relax and enjoy the picturesque surroundings. Definitely recommend it!
It’s a huge beautiful garden. Nice weather! Lots of different type of flowers. Plenty of space for car parking. Be careful!!!! Both side car parking cons big cars parked opposite when other car try to park can be scratched parked car. My car happened! in fact, we move other a lot to avoid it happen, but it happen during 2hrs parking Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have nice cafe and seating area. And don’t forget to see Bluebell bank area! And the tulip was great ! We may visit bit later when more flower start blooming! Car parking free but need to pay ticket. If you have membership Free.!!! Also they hire seating chair :
Fabulous smallish National Trust property, think without membership its £10 per adult, £5 for kids. Made our way to the coffee shop, and had fruit scones, tea and a rather good parsnip and apple soup, perfect for a blowy day! Daffodils were out but not the bluebells yet, views are spectacular but maybe difficult if you have mobility issues. All in all a fantastic way to get back to nature, peaceful and pretty.
Beautiful and well kept gardens, stunning at this time of year when the bluebells cover the fields. The path eventually links up with Toys Hill, another lovely walk. There's a lovely natural play area, a café serving hot and cold drinks and hot and cold food, a picnic area and toilet facilities. They also have deck chairs and garden games on loan which I find a lovely touch
Very well kept beautiful gardens and despite a blisteringly hot day, pleasant walk trails available. A cozy little converted tea room with a small but tasty selection of light snacks with friendly staff. Somewhat cramped in some parts and a tricky trail for some, more signage needed to prepare for this. Beautiful valley views across to the reservoir. A little on the small side compared to other Trust locations and variety doesn't quite match up to others, especially in terms of colour. Unfortunately missed the bluebells as well so may come again another year.
THE best place to see blue bells. Just wow. Beautiful gardens. There is a tea room which serves a wide range of coffees and milk alternatives. Lovely play area. Stunning views. Love Emmetts so much
I am disabled, I was able to borrow a terrain scooter. But there is a buggy to take you up the steep areas. The place is family and dog friendly. The grounds are just showing spring is just around the corner with snow drops in bloom and daffodils just about to bloom. You can get hot drink and hot food from the restaurant. You can picnic outside on the benches. Plenty of areas for children to run around.
Beautiful gardens, especially the Rock and Rose Garden. The woodland walk is a good trail, with an amazing view across the Downs. The Stable Cafe and the Shop is small, with not a lot of room inside to social distance from others. The Pump House is a wonderful experience, learning about how the pump was designed to the transport of the water to the main house.
Beautiful park with lots of flowers in bloom. Lots of trails and nice scenery. Some trails might be a challenge for older folks or someone with a physical disability. Parking seems plentiful. Paid approximately 12 pounds per ticket to enter.
I visited here with my 10 year old. We enjoyed spotting mushrooms and to our delight learning more during its fungi festival. Beautiful surroundings. The games area was lovely with lots of activities. Not much selection in the cafe and very expensive!!
