Took refresher lessons with Colin recently and he was absolutely brilliant. He took things right back to basics to iron out any bad habits and refresh me on things I had forgotten, and then tailored the lessons to my specific needs. He was encouraging and patient, whilst constructively helping me work through things I was struggling with. My confidence and competence behind the wheel are so much higher now after only a few short lessons. Highly recommended!

Colin is a 10/10 driving instructor. His calm and patient approach put me at ease and he gives constructive feedback, always making sure to highlight the positives. I was as prepared for the test as possible and knew about all the local road layout quirks, leaving no surprises. I would recommend Emerald Mile without hesitation.

I drove with Colin from Emerald driving school and needless to say he is the best. After going around two different instructors who failed to help me, I was super glad to have found Colin as his knowledge and adaptability to my level of driving got me to pass my test first time!! Colin is a great driving instructor - he is calm, patient, and makes you feel as comfortable as you can in driving in general, and in preperation to the test. He has an excellent knowledge of test routes around Stirling and the terminology used, so when the test did come up there were very few surprises - thanks to Colin. He actively wants his students to pass and get to a great level of driving, and is obviously passionate about this. Colin helped me iron out recurring mistakes through simple but highly effective excercises. He also provides a great chat throughout the lessons! I would highly recommend Emerald Mile to any learner driver around Stirling area, especially with Colin's effective tuition and knowledge of the area, aiding anyone in passing the test and becoming a safe confident driver.

Only have good words to say about Colin and Emerald Mile Driving School. Colin was an excellent instructor for me. V clear, patient and knowledgeable of the local Stirling area. He will go over any part of your driving that you are struggling with until it’s fixed for you, providing useful solutions. Felt v well prepared for my test  thanks to Colin covering every aspect of being a safe and competent driver in great detail. No junctions, roundabouts or roads were a surprise to me thanks to Colin’s knowledge of past and potential test routes.  Also aside from the driving, Colin is a top guy v friendly and always has a good bit of chat when you come into the car. Makes you feel very at ease and relaxed in the car from day 1 which is really important too.

Would give more than five stars to Emerald Mile Driving school if I could. Passed my test the first time! Colin was an excellent instructor, very calm and made me feel comfortable behind the wheel. Gave me the skills to not just pass the test, but to be a safe and confident driver on the road.  Highly recommend for drivers of all skill levels.  Agree with another reviewer - he also has great taste in music.
