Absolutely amazing food. Staff are so lovely! Price is a little expensive, but it's a great treat! Couldn't be happier with my chicken and sweetcorn soup, one of the best I've had in years. Went here for my dad's 60th, he was absolutely thrilled! Would definitely recommend :
I went to the Emerald Gardens for dinner as a party of 3. The interior decor is lovely as are the furnishings and staff. I ordered the duck starter and sizzling beef in black bean sauce main course. I was assured the Duck was crispy duck. The Duck was soft, definitely not crispy, I didn't finish it. The main course looked great arriving sizzling. When I started eating it was just ordinary, very little sauce. I found the interior temperate to be on the chilly side. We left soon after as it was uncomfortably chilly. We had planned another drink after the meal and a chat.I don't mind paying for good food but the total cost for 3 of us was roughly €163. Rice did not come with the main course, I had to order it and pay extra, I've never seen this anywhere. I'd propose serving crispy duck as advertised on the menu, CRISPY!. more sauces with the main course, include a serving of fried or boiled rice with main courses, and finally increasing the temperature of the interior for customers, thats why I was prepared to pay the extra charges. "You gets what you pays for" but not here. Sorry now Emerald Gardens, but that's my opinion.

You have to keep calling to be able to book a table, after the voicemail left they called back late evening. Food was delicious, we were three friends there, and all of us have enjoyed the food. Food fresh, beautifully served, hot. Wanted for desert something chinese, but no options there. Service could improve, bottle of vine was opened and served, but nobody came after to serve the rest of it. After having a starter and a main we were full and wanted to wait a little for desert, every couple minutes we have been asked if we are ready for desert after telling them we need some time as we were too full. Good location, the place looked clean and cosy. Very comfortable chairs and tables really wide. Enough space between tables, so you don't hear other people conversations. The place was full of people, all tables were ocupied. Pricy, there is a set menu for €32.50 and has plenty of good choices there. Will go back, but not the place to go very often, as it is very expensive for chinese food.
