Went to my closest dad friend funeral wake ,it was beautifully presented and decorated. Love the Emerald Club, the staff are so professional, helpful and friendly.
In the larger function room which was done out nice for a birthday party. Staff very friendly and helpful remembered bar order .Toilet facilities little bit on the small size for a large function room. But they were clean. Parking is an issue. Lots of cars parked on small side streets as car park is small for venue size.
We attended a wedding here. It's an old club, needing some care and attention but the wedding was lovely. This venue has a stage, and a dance area. The toilets were tatty, again needing an uplift, but everything worked. There's a front and rear parking area.
Decent sized venue with friendly staff. Needs more parking, but tats not going to happen at this location. Hall was affordable to hire but bar is on the pricey side. Good kitchen space which was used by our own caterers.
I rented the function room and we had a young gentleman looking after us and he took very good care of us. Would recommend using the hall to anyone. Also the manager was very accommodating, they do all the setting up of the hall so you don't have to.
It's very big and spacious. Brilliant for any sort of function. Car park is small tho but it's a lovely place. Friendly staff too.
A fantastic function setting with a lovely elegant style and design finished in recommended for large sized groups function eg.. Wedding's.. Birthday parties. Funeral functions.. Or any party events...
I go to this venue quite often. Usually its for a Celebration of life. After the Church Service and Committal family and friends got to the Club for refreshments and drinks then a dance. Though a sad occasion we celebrate the deceased life and therefore put our sorrow aside for a while. The food is usually brought in from outside and served in the hall. The kitchens are spacious and well equipped. There are lots of tables and the hirers decorate them. There is a DJ or band till late at night. The Emerald Club Staff, mostly Irish are welcoming and sensitive to our needs. There used to be a group there every monday night. I must admit i've never managed to get there but i heard it was very good. The group sang live and had moved from the Dubliners when it closed some years ago. Between the Dubliners and the Emerald the Monday Club had been to the Redhill, now closed and the Kerryman. Singing old songs with a few modern ones, reggae and Gospel thrown in, the old guys brought back memories from their youth and home, Ireland. A good old Irish welcome is always here for anyone who walks in.
Decent venue. Mate hired it for a family event didnt realise a decent place like this existed in such a horrid part of Birmingham. Well impressed good size aswell.
Nice venue. Very busy bar, staff service was fast, didnt have to wait to long to get served
