I was surprised at this place as I'd had very low expectations but it was actually quite good. Toilets are horrible and have that open sewer smell. Food was plentiful, tasty and varied. Drinks are expensive.
Spot on food. We went for the all you can eat buffet. It’s like Chinese tapas. Every dish that came was bang on.
Cheap as chips friendly staff lots of dishes to choose from I'm very happy with the service. I have been working in Colchester for a while now and I'm eating at this establishment everyday. 6 pound for an adult eat as much as you like buffet you cannot go wrong
Only been there once, so not the most informed review. Nice location, very good first impression, large variety of food and deserts plus fruits. But I had the impression that not all the food was fresh, especially chicken, and the orange juice they're serving is obviously the cheapest one they could find, it has that nasty chemical taste, an they failed to replenish the dish I like the most from Asian cuisine, sweet and sour, so I had to go without.
Gave it 4 stars due to good flavour to food and variety. Its a great place to go once a month....if not you get bored of the menu. Same menu throughout....free water available. And Not disabled friendly...lots of stairs to go to first floor where tables are. Paid parking is 100m away. Toilets on ground floor.
It was good for what it was but the price has shot up recently so unless they have updated the menu I won't be going again for the price bump . During the day there's not much selection and at night they have really reduced the selection of food aswell . But for an all you can eat meal it's ok . Great to take the kids and let them stuff their faces on a budget . Update ......they have now changed the name and made a new pricey Chinese menu and also a take away . So no more buffet . It's appeal was the all you can eat side of it without it it's just another standard restaurant.
I don't know why loads of people are complaining the food is cheap and The place is very well done its a buffet after all so don't expect a waiter, just grab what you want and dig in. Obviously bringing your girl friend for a romantic meal isn't suitable but a family could enjoy this. The food is simply delicious if you love your Chinese as much as I do and I recommend it to most people with a large appetite.
This place is very cheap for a buffet for the lunchtime deal, and the waiters kindly escorts you to the seating area. The food is cooked freshly and is carefully replaced when the buffet is short on food. A very scrumptious experience with a range of dishes. Only negative is they don't accept card payments, which is annoying
All you can eat Chinese buffet with lots of different choices so everyone should find something to their taste. Drinks are not included and are over priced. Can get very busy at peak times and it's a cash only venue. No longer buffet style restaurant everything off the menu now.
Great restaurant but staff don't really seem to make you welcome. They want your money and gone. Basically in and out, Job done. They take your plate away as soon as your fork touches the plate so you if you want more you have to get another plate. Staff need to be more socialable
