Nice walking trail that only takes 30mins at most if not taking photos and looking for Red Squirrels seen none...could do with a few seats to just sit and enjoy...Parking facilities onsite and just off the main road too... Nice place for walking. One of the walks is crossing a busy main road which leads to a viewing point. The walk is moderate to hard as it involves steep hills, however, the views and the viewing point are rewarding.
Lovely place, safe for a walk. Definitely will be our favourite spot from now.
There's a large layby at the entrance next to the main road then there's a narrow tarmac lane no height restrictions that takes you down to the main carpark next to the edge of the lake. There's two paths. One is a tarmac path for wheelchairs which has disabled parking and a picnic table that has space for a wheelchair, that runs along the edge of the lake for about 20 minutes or so, and it ends at a boat jetty. The other longer one does a loop at its starts off running along the side of the lake in the opposite direction. There's a BT pay phone at the entrance and there's also litter bins, but no public toilets.
People walk there dogs and it's a lovely place to have a picnic.Council can you move that down and out caravan it needs to be moved.
A great place for a picnic then have a nice walk with scenery to dye for.

Lovely walk, bit muddy in places, but it was March and there is Forestry clearing going on. Worth the view. Felt great after.

Had a lovely walk along the shore path and found it very refreshing and peaceful. The walk very suitable for everyone young and old. But better for walking in good weather and sturdy shoes as the path could be mucky in places. Very relaxing..A good place to unwind from the strain and stresses of a busy day.
