what an experience! awful practice no one will accept responsibility for all the mistakes being made medication not updated notes not updated no wonder the care quality commission says requires improvement in may 2023 still not there yet!
Girlfriend has been trying for days now to get a GP appointment, phoning first thing in the morning and sitting in queues. I’m sure it’s not just this surgery and a country wide thing, but it’s still disappointing. When we get one I’ll buy a lottery ticket
Wouldn’t recommend this Doctors Surgery. I’ve been a patient here for well over 10 years and I’ve had nothing but bad experiences. The receptionists can be rude at times and very blunt, not friendly at all and the GP’s really don’t care about your problems. If I ever have a problem I just try to work it out by myself because it’s just pointless trying to get it sorted at Elm Hayes. You’re on the phone for ages trying to get through, then when you do get through there’s no appointments left. You put a request in for a repeat prescription and hear nothing back whether it’s been accepted or not, turn up at the pharmacy to collect your medication a few days later to be told they don’t have it, so you call the doctors up and they say you need a review of your medication. Great. Thank you for letting me know beforehand! Then you’re left with no medication and having to pay for emergency pills. Don’t worry though as I am now transferring surgeries, fed up of the terrible service that Elm Hayes provides its locals.
An ACTUAL DOCTOR Asked my mates biological male child identifies as female and been self prescribing themselves hormones off the Internet which the Dr's don't seem to be concerned is a safeguarding issue even tho they are on the spectrum if they were pregnant. Lost that person's bloods that had to be begged for in the first place as the person was very pale, tired and generally unwell.nCalled social services on someone else I know as they had blotchy skin they're asthmatic and had low O2 sats and because they'd lost weight and were wearing an over sized jumper. Apparently you can't be comfortable when attending an appointment when unwell in a fashionable jumper that's your size on the label, as you could be a risk to your child and on drugs. The Dr couldn't get blood but apparently the patient would be able to use a needle themselves and be more skilled than a nurse that's practiced for 20years. The nurse smelled of alcohol in the middle of the day.nDrs refuse to prescribe medication to relieve pain from a legitimate diagnosed problem for myself. My Mrs has told them multiple times she's under a specialist in Bristol. Even told them the name, the hospital and the department. Yet it's not in her notes and they insinuated she was lying about having the treatment she is.nnYou can't get an appointment to save your life. The Dr wouldn't look at picture of a stool my child had, that I was concerned about. And just prescribed worming treatment.nThe staff are dismissive and rude, if you can get to see them. They are judgemental and I would not recommend to even my worst enemy.nnDoes not follow the conventions and human rights acts. Many breaches and mismanaged care.
I've always been very satisfied with the service at Elm Hayes Surgery since moving to Paulton just over nine years ago.nThere will always be staff changes in all professions, and at all locations.nThe staff at Elm Hayes Surgery Doctors, Nurses & Reception always do a very good job of understanding my issues.nMany thanks!
