Bloody cracking night can not fault it superbly. Everyone was friendly, does not matter where you come from your welcomed into open arms.
My single room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Slept really well, lovely bed! There was no hairdryer but Sandra soon provided one, as well as a non-slip mat for shower. Ate in the restaurant on the first evening, excellent meal.nI would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying again. Everyone very friendly and welcoming.nThis is not a criticism merely an observation that the provision of sanitary wear disposal bags would be useful if only to save client's and staff's embarrassment.nLooking forward to my next visit.
It is local to residents of Ellesmere. It has been renovated to an exceptional standard throughout. The staff & owners really are courteous & friendly. The restaurant has been comfortably set out with food freshly prepared when we have eaten there. If you just want coffee & a bar meal the bar area is bright & comfortable. This is a genuine review from an Ellesmere resident.
I've had numerous drunken outings here over the years. However I haven't been in for years. I was stunned by the changes, it's totally different since the very thorough modernisation and refurbishment. It's got plenty of choices of beers and the bar was busy. I tried several different ales and enjoyed myself that much that I can't remember leaving. Very good, well done to the people involved I like it.
The room was small, depressing and very tired.nAlthough superficially cleanish, it was in great need of a deeper, thorough sanitise and overhaul.nThe carpet was filthy and desperately required replacing.nThe tv remote was caked, the light switches dubious.nThe furniture was the cheapest flat pack possible, apart from a random old chair, which was bringing nothing to the party, other than being a trip hazard in the dark see no bedside light.nThe mattress cover under the sheet was full of crumbs, grit and I didn’t want to think what else. I used my emergency sleeping bag rather than get in the bed.nI only stayed one night out of two.nThere was no hairdryer and no bedside light, just the bright ceiling bulbs, which were not operational from the bed.nThe towels were laundered but faintly stained, the bath mat looked unwashed.nThe shower head was immovable and crusty, and the shower door broken.nThe toilet, up two steps on a podium of its own, was simply weird and possibly dangerous.nThe fire exit stairs were cluttered.nParking was a faff.nNo breakfast I was made aware of this on booking and quite possibly wouldn’t have trusted it based on the room, so even £50 a night was steep for such a lack lustre, experience.nOne up from sleeping in the car, although my car is cleaner, better decorated and has nicer ambiance.
