Absolutely disgraceful home. Do NOT let your family members stay here.nThe food is horrendous and wouldn’t even be served in a dog’s home. “Meals” include beans on toast, or if you’re lucky, lasagne served with a side of sprouts. All for the premium of £1500 a week. This home is for elderly and frail people who should be served meals packed with protein. Cheese and potato pie for lunch, followed by beans on toast for tea is not a nutritionally balanced meal plan for an elderly person.nThe home is dirty. Please take a look around some of the communal areas and kitchens, as well as the filthy and stained cups, mugs, plates and cutlery used by the residents. Residents bedding is not changed for weeks on end, rooms and bathrooms not cleaned. High turnover of staff. Slagging off residents between staff members, in earshot of other residents.nThe “care” home recently had no hot water for a WEEK.nThere are no fire safety measures in place. When the fire alarm was sounding, staff simply turned it off and when asked if they had an evacuation point, they had no idea. They also stated that in the event of a fire, residents would be left in their rooms with their door shut.nI urge you not to allow your beloved family members to reside in this home. It’s heartbreaking to see how the owners of this home only care about profit and not the wellbeing of the residents.
Unfortunately we had a terrible experience here in February - we should not have been told by the manager that there was capacity for my 93 year old frail Mum - a vacant room is evidently not sufficient when care is needed. The list of issues we experienced is too long to list here but included forgetting to take meal trays in to Mum despite her being on a high alert list for food intake on one occasion a carer had to run to the local supermarket to buy a can of soup when they realised Mum had not been served dinner as the kitchen was locked - at 6pm. We left the home after 10 days as there was no improvement despite raising our numerous concerns with the manager. We asked for a call with the manager to discuss after we had left but once our money had been taken there were no responses to our emails. I have still given 2 stars here however as the care staff we did meet were lovely, but they simply could not cope with the number of residents.
Can't thank you all enough for all the care you gave our dad in his final months of his life, you are truly amazing couldn't of asked for more, you made a very hard time for our family just a little bit easier knowing he was being cared for properly, so on behalf of our family I would like to say thank you to you all
