Gio and Mario met in 1998 when Mario joined the team of staff in Las Fuentes tapas bar in Purley. At this time Gio had been in the restaurant business for 40 years, successfully running numerous restaurants. They became a formidable pair, entertaining the customers and serving fantastic food. After many years, Mario moved on to pursue his dream of running his own restaurant and found himself here in Epsom. Meanwhile, Gio continued his success in Purley until the two came together again last year. With such a good working relationship, determination to succeed and the knowledge of what makes a restaurant stand out from the rest Gio and Mario are back together again in their new venture: El Patio – bringing a taste of Spain to Epsom.
