egremont castle

This is a lovely example of a 10th century castle although only some remains are viable the information boards and feel of the place is still quite magical.. Not too far away there is a very poignant memorial to all the soldiers lost in the first and second world War from Egremont. Definitely worth a visit.

An interesting place with nice gardens. Good for a quick visit.

Not alot to see. But free and you can walk around the small grounds

Great ruined medieval castle. Easily walked around and free. Nice place for a picnic close to town centre . No onsite or adjacent parking but parking for town 1hr free by disc or a large pay and display car park behind the coop l.

A free castle to explore. Mostly ruins, although there are some helpful information boards which tell you about its history.

A wonderful piece of English history being spoiled by mindless disrespectful idiots who have smashes glass bottles all around the area,littering the paths and grassy areas with shards of glass.

Beautiful castle ruin, free to explore, lovely gardens.
