Egerton Sport Horses offers a quality of care for my horse that is second to none. No request is too difficult, every need is catered for and the priority is always the comfort and safety of each beloved animal. It is a comfortable and relaxed yard, yet has excellent facilities and exacting standards maintained by the lovely staff, led by the extremely knowledgeable and experienced Amy. Horse owners of every level and area of interest are supported and encouraged here. In fact, the great group of liveries vary in age and ambition. There is excellent hacking, interval training field, an outdoor and indoor school, full set of show jumps, horse walker, hot and cold shower, staff living on site, access to regular coaching plus monthly clinics with an internationally accredited coach. Add all this to the fact it is about a 15 minute hack to West Wilts EC and all you need is great stables and turnout. Yup. Got those too.
Amy has been enormously helpful with me and my horse regaining our confidence in showjumping. She has a sympathetic but 'to the point' approach giving me plenty of advice towards achieving better balance and a good rhythmic canter. I have also benefited from Amy's knowledge of how to ride to our advantage in the competition ring. I always look forward to our lessons and would not hesitate in recommending Amy to anyone needing help with their showjumping.
Egerton Sports Horses is a professionally run and maintained yard. It has exceptional facilities including an indoor school with wax surface, horse walker, horse rail flat paddocks, individual turnout, a canter field, large outdoor school with full set of show jumps and dressage boards, indoor American Barn with hot and cold wash area, and a wooden stable block. All stables are immaculate, skipped and mucked out regularly, with automatic waterers and rubber matting. There is ample storage for liveries, secure tack room, horsebox and trailer parking. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners and their staff. With an instructor on site for showjumping and dressage and regular clinics with Ernest Dillon this yard is as much for the enthusiastic amateur as professional rider. Supportive, welcoming and well run... what more can you ask for?
Egerton sport horses is an excellent yard which is professionally run with superb facilties. I can keep my horses there safe in knowledge they will be looked after to the highest standard, no request is out if the question. The yard boasts ample grazing, both an American barn and outside stables, all fully rubber matted, a horsewalker, an indoor lunging school and an outdoor arena with a full set of jump for joy show jumps. There are many hacking routes around the beatiful village of broughton Gifford and surrounding countryside, there is always something different to do whatever your discipline. Located just a stones throw from west wilts and 30 mins from the m4 this is a perfect base. Amy is an exceptional rider, teacher abd horsewoman and I wouldn't think twice before leaving my horses in the care of her and her team.
This is a friendly, neat, professional yard whose positive and harmonious atmosphere benefits horse and rider alike. Horses are all recognised as individuals and their routine thoughtfully managed with this in mind. The American Barn is light and spacious, with new LED lighting and rubber matting in all stables; there are two schools with plenty of show jumps and a canter field. Use of the walker comes as standard, and there is plenty of hacking nearby. West Wilts, with a full programme of competitions, is less than 2 miles away. The paddocks are fenced with Horserail and are cleaned frequently, and their good drainage means there is hardly ever a day when horses don't get turnout. Amy is a skilful rider who works with each different horse to maximise its potential, and can then feed that back to its owner in her lessons. ESH takes the stress away from horse ownership and replaces it with enjoyment. Thoroughly recommended.
