A first time spur of the moment find on our way home. Staff were so lovely and great with my granddaughter. They have a table with a selection of games and activities to enjoy while dining or drinking. Food was exceptional children's portion was huge and very reasonably priced. Will definitely go out of our way to visit again. Thank you
Thank you so much for a lovely evening. We booked for a group of 9 and had a fantastic meal - clean plates all round! We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the games/puzzles were perfect for entertaining us all; from the little ones to the grandparents. Wonderful!
First time visit en route home from Chester Zoo. Ordered 3x Sunday lunches which were excellent. Beef was cooked to perfecton, not overly salty, and accompanying veg also cooked well. Staff very polite and helpful. Gave explanation of why our meal was delayed which wasn't that long, to be fair and gave various options to make up for the delay. Would recommend, and visit again when in the area. Thank you to all.
Very good experience recently for a group of 8 of us. We'd come off the golf course earlier then expected and they managed to accommodate us earlier then the booked time. Excellent food and draught ale. Very attentive staff.
The staff were nice, but was a little slow when it came to the food. Speaking of food, it wasn't the best and I'd probably wouldn't go back if I was in the area. Dessert was another disappointment, think thr sticky Toffee pudding came out the tin. Really liked the game/colouring corner.
Stayed for 1 night in one of their en-suite rooms. Lovely clean room. Evening meal and breakfast were lovely. All the staff were lovely and we will definitely be back, in fact we have already booked
Visited here twice a few years ago, and couldn't wait to come back. The food was amazing, how things have changed since. Tomatoe soup was ok, but no bread included. Aparently croutons class as bread. Steak meal tough and bland, no salad or veg included, except 1 tomatoe cut in two, not forgeting the few chips. Fish meal was almost passable for processed packet food. £54 for two instantly forgettable meals, which would have been better served in a motorway station. Will never return.
We stopped here by chance on-route to Wales and we had a superb meal. Staff were friendly and so helpful. Food was served quickly and was delicious. Can highly recommend calling in here.
Sunday lunch with my eldest daughter and her boys. Lovely food, staff polite and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Very clean and airy room. Excellent. Would recommend and would certainly go back.
Great pub, bnb! All rounder, their staff were friendly and welcoming. Had the sea bass with mash and creamy dill sauce here dinner. So good. I highly recommend this pub!
