I purchased shoes online at a good price and received an email advising me they were ready to collect. When I arrived at the store a little after 1.30pm there was a note on the door saying the shop was closed until 2.30pm I had to return another day to collect my shoes. Nothing in the email to advise about the opening times. Needless to say I won’t use Meeks again. No wonder independent retailers are losing out to online stores such as Amazon
Not accepting returns of perfectly fine shoes with no wear and tear if you take them out of the shop. Making up rules as they go along. Not buying there ever again. If you go out of business with customer service like that I can't say I'll feel very sorry about that.
I was served by Julie today with my daughter and my son who has autism, she was so patient and understanding with him when he said he didn't like the colours on a certain pair of trainers because they were too "busy" for him and was so good with helping him find a pair with flashing lights that he really wanted. He usually doesn't do well with sitting around and waiting but he was perfectly happy to co-operate with her and the way she was talking to him kept him calm and he actually enjoyed the visit and left the store a very happy little boy. Thank you Julie!
Several staff stood around talking. Witnessed a female staff be very rude to male customer about using hand gel. Will someone please tell these shop assistants to stop being so rude and get off their power trip. You would think they would be grateful to be in work especially since Stockport shops are disappearing. I left and bought school shoes at another store where the staff were grateful for the custom.
I came down to ur store sat 15th of may as soon as I entered the store I felt a warm welcome bringing my son for shoes that has very wide feet he is autism and doesn't have much patience which bev seemed so understandable finding something comfortable for my son's feet I would like to thank u all for ur support we will be visiting again
I, have acute eczema on my hands as a result hand sanitiser is very painful for me to use the staff on the door was insisted I use it before I entered the shop I had washed my hands and was wearing gloves to keep them clean... So I spent my £140 at jakes
The shop was not congested, but had obvious customer spacing and flow floor markings. The range of shoes on display was comparable to their range in more normal times.
Great place to spoil yourself to a nice pair of shoes
Good selection of footwear and helpful staff. They didn’t have anything to fit me and so referred me to another place nearby.
Amazing service! In confident my daughter is comfortable her first shoes thanks to the fabulous staff!
