About:
About In the heart of monmouthshire, at the centre of the small village of Llandenny, its worth making the effort to track down this little gem. The solid stone work with handsome proportions beckons you into the warm and welcoming bar and restaurant. Story The Raglan Arms is situated in the little village of Llandenny, with just a few houses, a pub (the Raglan Arms) and a church, named after St John the Apostle and Evangelist. The main South Wales to the Midlands road link, the A449, passes close to the village, making the pub easily accessible from far and wide. The Raglan Arms was promoted by Lord Raglan who owned, as the family still does, the large estate nearby. A landlord of the pub in the 1930s was Frank Wake who catered nearly always for the farm labourers and not the gentry so it became a 'thorn in the flesh' of the Raglan family. The current owners, William and Judith Brown together with Head Chef David Scarpato and the staff offer a warm and friendly welcome to the local community, regular customers and visitors discovering The Raglan Arms for the very first time. Food is served: Tuesday - Saturday Lunchtime: 12pm - 2.30pm Evening: 6.30pm - 9.00pm Sunday Lunchtime: 12pm - 2.30pm If you would like to book a table, please call 01291 690800 We look forward to welcoming you!
