We provide fresh water as well as food to sustain your dog whilst in the lake District. We also provide doggy treats which come in a useable poo bag. The Dog and Gun is famous for its homemade hungarian Goulash which has been made here for years and comes in small and large portions. We are proud of the fact that we do not sell any shallow or deep fried food. We are Cask Marque accredited for our real ales and have been recognised for the last four years in the Good Beer Guide [the only pub in Keswick to do so]. Five of our six real ales are all locally sourced from throughout the Lake District. The sixth one being North Yorkshire's 'Old Peculier'. We regularly hold quiz nights on a Thursday night at 9:30 with all donations going to Keswick Mountain Rescue Team and North Air Ambulance. We offer free full wi-fi facilities for you to access. We have recently had installed and discreetly placed a flat screen T.V to show the Olympic games this year [please note this screen will not be used for the showing of football for any shape or form]. We are within one mile of the main public transport station which is located at Booth's supermarket
