About Just 10 mins from the centre of Birkenhead, the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum has one of the best art collections in the North West of England. Story The Williamson Art Gallery and Museum is a family friendly space with changing contemporary exhibitions and collections reflecting the local heritage with an active education programme and supportive Friends charity, it is a "little" municipal art gallery (although has 14 galleries) that is rapidly gaining lots of attention for its community feel as well as the works on show. There are several independent businesses housed within the space - an art supply shop, a second hand and new bookshop and cafe as well as the artisan craft and design shop run by the Wirral Museums Service Team. Part of Wirral Council. Products Permanent exhibitions of Della Robbia Pottery, martime models, furniture from Arrowe Hall, oils and watercolours from the collections. We have a changing temporary exhibtion programme which includes the annual Williamson Open, the Wirral Met College Degree Show and much more.
