About Thatcham Jewellers, near Newbury in Berkshire is an independent retail jewellers, which was set up in 1983. We are very proud of our excellent reputation for expertise, choice of stock and value for money. Story Thatcham Jewellers is an independent retail jewellers which was established in 1983. The first location was Supermews Arcade, High Street followed in 1997 by a move to the current location of The Broadway. The business has established an excellent reputation for expertise, choice of stock, allied jewellery services and value for money. Many quality, exciting manufacturers have been used and become regular suppliers over the years with a priority on design and value whether it is new stock, diamonds, watches, second hand or gifts. The business is a family concern started by Penny Morgan, as a sole trader for many years, until 2004 when Geoff Morgan became a minor share holder. Penny and Geoff are now joined by Peter, Penny’s son, who has a significant role in the day to day business – enjoying involvement in selecting stock and advising customers. Other members of staff are long serving and, although not truly family, there is a strong connection and contribution from them also. We offer a range of Jewellery and Watches, as well as a number of specialised services including: - Jewellery Repairs - Watch Battery and Strap Repairs - Restringing - Engraving - Insurance and Probate Valuations - Replacement Products Lost/Stolen
