About Local government organisation Story Local government organisation Mission The following is the mission statement of Shifnal Town Council: “Shifnal Town Council shall endeavour to exceed internal and external expectations in respect of service delivery and project delivery whilst ensuring value for money and compliance. We remain committed to promoting the use of leisure facilities throughout the town and maximising the effective use of our green spaces. As a Council we will offer support, wherever possible, to voluntary groups in the locality wishing to work independently and will remain open to partnership working for the benefit of the Shifnal community. In respect of the economic viability and sustainability of Shifnal, we remain committed to the re-establishment and maintenance of Shifnal as a thriving market town and will endeavour to promote Shifnal in a positive light to the wider world as opportunities arise. As a Council we will work compassionately with all groups within the community taking into account the views of the more vulnerable amongst us.”
