About Retained fire station serving the area of Over Wyre and beyond. We currently have 11 operational firefighters and 16 fire cadets from St Aidan's year 9 Story Preesall fire station is part of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. The station is part of Northern Command and is station L33. We have one appliance crewed by 11 part time firefighters on call from home and work. We are mobilised by North West Fire Control via pager. The crew have 5 minutes to respond to any call. The fire service expects us to have the fire engine at any incident in Over Wyre in 13 minutes. The fire engine we crew is a fully equipped frontline appliance carrying many pieces of specialised equipment to assist from fires to road traffic accidents.
