"I studied Medicine in Cape Town, before moving to London in 1990. I did my basic surgical training in various London hospitals before starting in plastic surgery at St Thomas Hospital. My training took me through various centres, but I was fortunate to end up at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, where I became a Consultant Plastic Surgeon. As my NHS and private work built up, and being a “family” man and someone with all sorts of other outside interests – it was soon clear to me that I needed to make some important lifestyle changes. I left the NHS in 2007, and now work only in private, building and developing my practice and reputation in Kent."
