About Shipmates in Cowes is the second longest established sailing store in Cowes and has the enviable reputation of being the best value for money in the town. Story The Shipmates Group was established in 1975 by Clive Johnson close to Eel Pie Island in Twickenham. Since this time the Group has had many stores including three Musto ‘concept’ stores. we have also exhibited at most major boat shows in Europe. Over the years we have served many high profile customers including Sir Edward Heath, Alan Bond, Bill gates , Denis Connor , Jude Law and Pete Townsend to name but a few! The Group now consists of two flagship stores in Cowes and Salcombe our stock includes product from Musto, Gul, Animal, Chatham, Quayside and Reef. Rather than trying to place all our stock on the website we would rather you gave us a call to discuss your requirements and we will give you a price and availability. The Cowes store is situated in the High Street opposite the Marina and adjacent to the Anchor Pub.
