About L&J Electrical Services Ltd was formed in 1987 and continues to grow from strength to strength-offering quality work and service to: private householders, landlords, private industry, commerce and local authorities. Story We have now progressed into Solar PV installations. We are based in Plymouth and install in all areas of the South West. How Does It work Solar PV Modules are arranged on the East, through South to West facing roof. These modules produce DC electricity when exposed to daylight and are connected to an inverter located inside the property. The inverter changes the DC into AC electricity, which is then transported to where it is needed in the property. A meter is installed in the property and will record the total amount of electricity produced, whether the electricity is consumed in the property or exported to the national grid.
