About Authentic Spanish Restaurant and tapas bar in Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil. Call 01685 384532 for reservations. Story Emilio Ortiz, the restaurants owner and lead chef, has over 40 years of experience in the Spanish tapas and wine bar industry, and is originally from Bilboa, Spain. After successfully bringing a unique range of Spanish cuisine to Merthyr Tydfil, this year celebrates the LA Bodega's 25th anniversary. At LA Bodega you will find menu's to accommodate all occasions. An extensive a la carte menu displaying a fantastic array of fish, meat and chicken cooked in a variety of sauces is available. In addition to this there is also a selection of vegetarian dishes. For the more traditionalists why not try our two/three course Sunday Roast lunch menu. We strongly pride ourself on using freshly prepared local and Spanish produce such as cheeses, olives and jamon. Steaks, fish and a selection of salads are also available, as well as traditional Spanish wines and a selection of Champagne, which you can enjoy by the glass.
