About St Thomas More Catholic School is a mixed comprehensive school and sixth form serving the communities of Walsall and Wolverhampton. Story St Thomas More Catholic School is a mixed comprehensive school and sixth form serving the communities of Walsall and Wolverhampton. Founded in 1973 by the Archdiocese of Birmingham, the school has provided a distinctive Catholic education for forty years. In 2003 the school community moved to a new site, in a state of the art building, which remains exemplary in its design. The new school was blessed and officially opened by His Grace Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Birmingham. The mission of the school is focused on the spiritual, moral and academic development of all our students in a safe, caring and loving environment. In this, we follow the example of our patron, St Thomas More, who remains an inspiration to our community 400 years after his martyrdom.
