About Handcrafted bread, made in Llanidloes. Story Andy’s Bread was founded in June 2010 from a small kitchen in Llanidloes. After reading about the demise of real bread in Andrew Whitley’s seminal book, Bread Matters and a visit to Birmingham to bake with Tom Baker of LOAF, I took the leap into the world of micro-bakeries. Grappling with the intricacies of an old gas powered oven in a rented flat, I sold my first couple of loaves and haven’t looked back since.
