About Traditional back street ale house serving Goacher's Maidstone ales,Kent cider & bar snacks. No lager,music,TV,fruit machines and no children. Dogs welcome. Story The rifle volunteer is a traditional side street pub that serves goacher's ales, from a small brewery in Maidstone. The pub has not really been changed much since the 70,s if not earlier. As well as real ale real cider is also available as are basic bar snacks. There are no fruit machines, TVs or music just good conversation or a quite place to sit and read or relax whilst enjoying you ale.
