"A very warm welcome to Delgatie Castle near Turriff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. We hope you will find everything you are looking for. Most recently the home of the late Captain John Hay of Delgatie; Feudal Baron. It was built around 1049 and has been in the Hay family for the last 650 years. Delgatie Castle is the seat of the Clan Hay. We are an 11th century Castle, listed as a 4 Star Visitor Attraction. Our tours offer an insight into local Scottish History with the lived-in feeling of a Family Home. Our pretty Tearoom "The Laird's Kitchen" offers wonderful freshly prepared food made with local produce. Our Award-winning cakes and scones are well renowned. Self-Catering accommodation is available in the Castle and a converted Coach House."
