Story The Friends Group was set up in 2010 to help promote the library. We organise events, quiz nights and talks. We also run a bookstall and produce a newsletter six times a year. Monthly meetings are held in the library. Membership is for one year and costs £3 [or £5 for couples]. At the moment, we have around 100 members. Recently, we helped secure funding for CCTV around the outside of the library building. We have also raised funds and bought projection equipment and hope to start a film club later this year. A longer term plan is to install a cafe in the library. Our next meeting is Thursday February 13th at 6.30pm.
