About Located on Queensferry Street in central Edinburgh, Mathers is home to a fine range of lager, real ale, single malt whisky, cider, wine and spirits. Story The new Facebook page for Mather's Bar on Queensferry Street - known as Mather's West End due to our sister pub on Broughton Street, now known as The Empress of Broughton Street. Located just on the cusp of Princes Street and just a short walk to George Street, Mather's is located in the heart of the West End of Edinburgh, the bar is home to a wide array of drinks to tickle your fancy. Six real ale pumps, six lagers on tap, a wide selection of bottled beers, cider, wines, a grand range of spirits and one of the finest collections of single malt whisky in Edinburgh - these make Mather's West End popular with natives of the city and tourists alike. We have 4 screens showing both Sky Sports and BT Sports bringing you as much live action as possible. Recently refurbished the bar has retained it's character and charm with a history that dates back to 1903.
