About At Hobbs House our expert bakers produce a range of award-winning breads, pastries and confectionery. HHB school offers courses & bread making kits. Story This is the house where it all started. The original bakery at the back of the shop is where our irresistible confectionery is carefully concocted and crafted. It is here, half way up the high street and next to our butchery shop, that you’ll find the most extensive selection of our handmade real bread. A fairy tale of cakes, buns and patisserie jostles for space as they stack towards the ceiling silently begging ‘eat me’ with a cherry on top! An awesome fridge, filled with hand made sandwiches to take away, and of course the incomparable coffee, compete with each other for total satisfaction of the appetite, and of course keep our loyal regulars returning again and again. Beyond our shop counter, you will find the Hobbs House Pantry, where you can take a break from shopping and savour our delicious cakes, carefully sourced teas and coffees, and enjoy a delicious lunch This positively pokey bakery is rammed to the rafters: a visual feast assault to compete with the richly evocative aromas of fresh baked bread and fresh ground coffee.
