About The Discovery Centre provides a welcoming environment situated in the beautiful scenery at the Lakeside. Story Cleethorpes Discovery Centre offers a welcoming environment nestled in the beautiful scenery of the lakeside, a perfect place for families to enjoy all year round. It’s free to enter the centre and enjoy our latest art exhibitions and displays by local talented artists or discover what’s happening out at sea from the ABP Humber Observatory. Take in the stunning views of the lake whilst dining in our Lakeside Café, or unwind in our sandpit café designed with kids in mind both serving a delicious selection of homemade food and freshly made cakes, we guarantee something for everyone’s budget. Step outside and admire the stunning lakeside, feed the resident ducks and take to the water on a pedalo or rowing boat. Visit our sandpit and build a sandcastle fit for a king and let the kids run wild on the shipwreck adventure playground, or make a splash at the nearby paddling pool.
