Story Knox Academy is a co-educational secondary school located in Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland.HistoryKnox Academy is the descendant of a medieval grammar school and is in the List of the Oldest Schools in the World. The 19th century building was the first specifically dedicated to John Knox and was designed by John Starforth in 1877. In 2005, a major overhaul of the school was completed.It is a non-denominational and co-educational school whose roll (at February 2012) was 804.The current head teacher is former Deputy Head Teacher Sarah Ingham, who took up the position on 13 August 2012.The cluster Primary schools are: King's Meadow Primary School, St. Mary's Roman Catholic Primary School in Haddington and Yester Primary School in Gifford.Cadet ForceKnox Academy was the last state school in Scotland to have a Combined Cadet Force, the Knox CCF.
