About Buchan Country Park is 170 acres of beautiful countryside right on Crawley's doorstep. The entrance to Buchan is off the Horsham Road as you leave Crawley. Story Buchan Country Park is owned and managed by West Sussex County Council (WSCC). It is a haven for quiet recreation and a variety of wildlife. The park is an ideal place for walking, wildlife watching or enjoying a picnic. Lose yourself amongst the birch trees, wander around the heath and linger in the meadow, Buchan Park has plenty to offer. The entrance to Buchan is off the Horsham Road as you leave Crawley. Buchan Park has a Countryside Centre with information about the park, its wildlife and local produce on sale. Items include ice cream, chilled juices, a large selection of local jams, honeys and chutneys. Buchan Country Park is also a venue for many events that are run by the rangers here. Events include: bushcraft, animal tracks & signs, night hikes, wildlife walks and more! Please see our events page on our Facebook page and also our website (www.westsussex.gov.uk/buchan).
