Story Dunsley Hall Country House Hotel was built as a dream house for the Pyman shipping family in the Victorian period. From 1900 it was the country home of Frederick Haigh Pyman and his large family of thirteen children. Many historic features include oak panelling, an original stained glass window depicting a seafaring scene, and an Inglenook fireplace bearing the Pyman family coat-of-arms.
