About Run by husband and wife team, Andrea and Morag offer an authentic Italian menu in a friendly cosy atmosphere. Story We have given The Pheasant a new lease of life. The landmark restaurant was derelict for almost 10 years and the local community were very excited about their fondly remembered restaurant reopening. We spent over a year doing extensive refurbishment and have a created a contemporary restaurant offering a unique dining experience in the heart of Galloway for local, national and International guests. Italian co-owner and chef Andrea brings an authentic Mediterranean menu with an interesting Scottish twist and a 0km ethos. The cosy eclectic lounge with log fire offers a great place for a casual lunch and pre-dinner drinks and nibbles.
