"We are an independently funded town museum, home to the curious and the wonderful. Established in 1932, Ilfracombe museum holds collections of natural history, taxidermy, African ethnography, South American and Asian artefacts. We also have objects from closer to home telling of Ilfracombe's distinctive and proud history as a maritime town and a renowned resort. We are guardians of a very rare and extensive First World War photo collection. All in all, a visit to our museum will leave you feeling you have discovered so much - there is something for everyone.
