About We are an Italian family run Independant restaurant in the centre of Harrogate. We serve authentic Italian cuisine with a modern twist in elegant, friendly surroundings. Story Sasso Restaurant opened in 1998. It is run by husband and wife team Sara and Stefano Lancellotti. The restaurant is named after the home town of head chef Stefano Lancellotti. Sasso Marconi is a small town just outside Bologna in Emilia Romagna and only an hour's drive from Florence. Sasso is a restaurant aimed at providing authentic Italian cuisine and has a strong Bolognese influence in its cooking. Bologna is the central city in the region Emilia Romagna. The region is renowned for it's Parmesan cheese, Prosciutto ham and most importantly, it's fresh egg pasta.
