About Classic cooking and new beginnings Story Sugar Supper Club is located on Sugar Island in Newry City, an area with a long history of merchant trading and sugar warehouses. In recent years, it has become the main financial and business centre of the city, as well as the location of the city's Town Hall and Art's Centres. It is a stone's throw from the district courthouse and central bus station. Co-owners head chef Aidan Markey and restaurant manager Kim Torley strive to make our bistro something a little bit different for the Newry area. Aidan is classically trained in French cuisine, which is reflected in his ever-changing menu. Both owners pride themselves on using locally and ethically sourced prouduce whenever possibly, an effort that has earned them a silver level award from the Green Tourism board. www.sugarsupperclub.co.uk
