About Originally established in 1966 and we've been crafting British satchels ever since. We're officially the oldest existing satchel-maker in Britain. Story The Leather Satchel Co. are one the last remaining teams of leathersmiths who craft satchels, bags and cases by hand from genuine cowhide leather here in England. We are the UK's oldest satchel maker, some would say "The Original" and we still remain to keep production here in England. We are a family owned and run business that have been crafting all manner of things out of leather hides since the 1960s. Some of our most popular designs haven't changed very much at all since that time. The Leather Satchel Co. are noted for our high quality hand-craftsmanship and charming simple and vintage designs.
