About LATCH creates homes that change lives. We bring empty homes back into use, renovating them with unemployed volunteers who gain skills and experience, to provide homes for homeless people.. Story Latch has three services: SUPPORTED HOUSING - LATCH runs a supported housing scheme where we provide accommodation for up to 76 people. The scheme is available to people who are homeless or in very difficult housing circumstances and want to work with us to improve their life circumstances.We can house single people and families. We provide support, advice, advocacy and information to our tenants. We also provide help with any other problems that may put them at risk of losing their homes, such as debt, benefit problems and rent arrears. TRAINING - Hands On is the Latch community workshop providing short beginner's courses in practical skills such as basic DIY, joinery and plumbing. VOLUNTEERING - Latch refurbishes empty homes with long-term unemployed volunteers, providing opportunities for them to gain skills, confidence and work experience.
