"Steeped in history, teeming with locally scarce wildlife, 600 deer, and some of the oldest in situ fossils in the UK, Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood comprises 1,200 acres of heritage rich landscape for appreciation and enjoyment across generations.Commonly known as the childhood home of Lady Jane Grey the park is home to the ruins of one of the most important country houses in Tudor England and the famous Old John Tower landmark.The lower park is easily accessible via a tarmac carriage-way, suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
