Story Opened in 1942 by Freddy Minchella, "Ocean Road" is Minchella & Co's first Ice Cream Parlour & Factory, this parlour has stood the test of time and is now one of the oldest, if not the oldest business in South Shields town centre. Our Ocean Road Parlour offers a wide range of Cones, Sundaes & Ice Cream flavours - All made daily in the factory located behind the seating area in the parlour. You can also enjoy our unique blend of coffee with a selection of hot snacks, ranging from the Italian street classic 'The Piadina' to every Sand Dancer's favourite 'The Cheese Toastie' amongst others.
