About Shop for justice. Story New Roots Cafe is a veggie/vegan fair-trade community cafe. Also on sale are whole foods, eco products and the occasional bit of art work. People meet to eat, drink, and talk, to campaign, to hatch plans, to exhibit, to listen to speakers, and to run or take part in groups/classes. Every Wednesday evening at 5.00pm New Roots provides a free meal to individuals and families who are suffering from poverty or destitution. A £2 donation is welcome from anyone who attends the free meal and is not suffering. All donations help to fund more free meals. New Roots Cafe is run by volunteers only and wouldn't exist without them. They are wonderful. If you would like to volunteer, set up a group, exhibit, hold an event or anything of this nature please get in touch via the email address provided. We look forward to seeing and hearing from you!
