About Patchings Art Centre - for the enjoyment of art. Story Patchings opened in 1988 as a centre for the enjoyment and involvement in art. Over the years we have continued to promote art making participation as accessible and fulfilling as possible. At Patchings there are three exhibition galleries with monthly changes of exhibitions, an Art School programme with a wide range of workshops and courses for all levels and interests. Our art and craft materials shop and Framing Centre provide additional facilities for the artist which includes an 'on line at shop'. To inspire we have seven Studio Artists based at Patchings working in a variety of medium. Details of their work and contact information is on our website. Cafe Patchings offers specialist teas and coffees, snacks and meals. Each year we host two major events. A four day Art Craft and Design Festival now in its 19th year and recognised nationally as a major art and craft event. In November we hold our popular 3 day indoor Christmas Market.
