About Welcome to Town Pharmacy Facebook page. You can count on us. Story Town pharmacy is an new independent pharmacy in Great Yarmouth. We aim to provide an excellent service to our customers. These are the essential services available at this pharmacy: Dispensing We dispense both NHS and Private prescriptions. Our pharmacist is always available to answer your questions and concerns about your medication. Repeat Prescriptions If you are taking the same medication regularly we can save you a trip to your doctor by having your medications ready for collection at this pharmacy. Ask our pharmacy team for advice. Sexual Health Service We provide morning after pill and chlamydia treatment free of charge Disposal of unwanted medication You can bring your unwanted medication and we will dispose of them safely. Healthy Lifestyle We provide information to patients with conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. You can also ask us about stop smoking, healthy eating and general advice. Advice for self-care We can advice you about minor ailment, correct usage of medicines, managing a long term conditions. If our pharmacy team can not help you will be referred to the appropriate healthcare professional. Patient confidentiality and Data Protection This Pharmacy comply with the Data Protection Act and the NHS code on confidentiality. Repeat prescriptions collection & Delivery We collect and prepare prescriptions from local surgeries. This will save you time. We also offer free delivery service. If you find it difficult to pick your medication we can have it delivered to you. Please ask a member of staff for more details. Medicines Check-up This is a free NHS service aimed to check that you are taking or using your medication correctly and are getting the maximum benefit from them. It doesn’t take long but it can make a big difference. Supervised Consumption This is a discrete service and offered in a confidential manner. Needle Exchange This service is available to injecting drug users and help to safe use and dispose of used syringes and needles. Support for people with disabilities We can provide help for people with a disability who require assistance with managing and taking their medicines. We may be able to supply your medicines in special containers marked with daily doses or help in other ways such as supplying reminder charts.
