About Located in the village of Wick – which was home to Black Beauty author Anna Sewell - is The Rose & Crown. Story The Rose and Crown is around 400 years old. It was once the home of the first bare knuckle fighter in the UK named John Gully. Our restaurant holds so much history and when you come in you will see its historic beams and very low ceilings and door entrances so be careful not to hit your head!
